What is a Wildcard SSL and when should I get one?
A Wildcard SSL covers all subdomains of your domain (blog.yourdomain.com, shop.yourdomain.com, mail.yourdomain.com, etc.) with a single certificate. If you use multiple subdomains, a Wildcard saves you from buying a separate certificate for each one.
How many domains does a Multi-Domain SSL cover with one certificate?
Multi-Domain (SAN) certificates typically start at 3 domains and can extend up to 100 with additional SAN licences. For example, you can protect yourdomain.com, yourdomain.net and yourdomain.org with a single certificate.
What is the difference from free Let's Encrypt?
Let's Encrypt provides basic HTTPS but does not include company validation (OV/EV), has no technical support and requires renewal every 90 days. Commercial SSL provides guaranteed technical support, longer validity, and company assurance.
